The Battle of Abukira

The Battle of Abukira 1-2 August 1798 is the decisive naval battle between the British fleets under the command of Admiral Horatio Nelson and France under the command of Admiral Francois de Bruy, from the island of Aboukir in the Nile delta, on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt, after the French ships broke from Toulon where they were blocked by the British.
